Vintage Watch Condition Examination This Rolex Date 1503 is in overall great vintage condition consistent with age. The case is in good condition with light wear. The inside caseback is stamped “1503.” The numbers are clearly visible between the lugs. The hallmarks are clearly visible on the back of the three lugs. The back of the 7 o’clock lug has a small hand-engraved number that appears to be a previous watchmakers mark. The brown dial is in overall very good condition with light patina and some marks that can be hard to see depending on the lighting; the lume plots have developed patina and have aged to a pleasing yellow color. Some plots show signs of degradation.
